ABOUT
Nahar- Eliyah Racheli Mendelson is a collaborative performer, as well as a social activist. In the past decade she has studied physical theatre, dance, and voice work in Israel and the United States, whilst completing her BFA in Performance at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. In collaboration with her ensemble members, she has created original work and performed across the United States, Israel/Palestine, Italy, and Nicaragua. She has put on such varied figurative hats - as well as literal masks and red noses - as dancer, director, comedian, choreographer, educator, clown, actor, and improviser.
Nahar is passionate about her role as an artist being one who is a change maker. In her work she challenges issues of militarism and greed through the use of humor and vulnerability; her work is heartfelt
and cutting while simultaneously always welcoming the odd bawdy joke.
She is ever bound to her infamous artistic collaborators: Myles Goldin, Kendall Perry, Lillian Myers, and more.
